Volunteer
After much anticipation our volunteer program is up and running! Volunteers provide vital support and assistance to staff and shelter animals by fullfilling the animal's need for additional exercise and socialization.

Fostering
Fostering is THE most rewarding volunteer experience the shelter has to offer. We are always looking for families to foster litters of puppies and kittens - both orphaned and with Moms. We also require homes for socialization and/or healing. If you have room in your heart & home, please submit your foster application.
As a registered charity with Revenue Canada, all donations are tax deductible. ALL donations go directly to the animals in our care - whether it is for medical care due to injury or illness, or for spay & neuter to increase their chance for adoption. Our annual expenses for animal care exceed $100,000. Small or large, every donation makes a difference in an animal's life.
Membership has many benefits. All membership fees are tax deductible and go towards the needs of the animals in our care. It also provides the shelter with a base of supporters that help us with our fundraising and awareness activities. While you cannot purchase a membership on-line due to signature requirements, you can print the application below and mail it or bring it to the shelter.

If you would like to leave a gift for the animals, there are a number of items that we are always in need of that give the shelter animals some comfort and pleasure -
Cat & dog treats
Can dog food
Treats & cage toys for gerbils, hamsters, rabbits, etc.
Can cat food (Friskies is preferred by the cats we can't get to eat)
Committee and Board members are also volunteer positions that are selected from our membership.
